Meet The Owner

Owner Tamyron Moore is the proud owner of Shabar’s Event Planning and Bartending Service. He has an entrepreneurial spirit that is rich in generosity and innovations. The young businessman, age 39, was born and reared in Glassboro, NJ, the older of four siblings. Even as a teen, Tamyron exhibited qualities that would characterize his life journey in leadership and service. While at Glassboro High School, he participated in the drama club, taking playing the role of “Kinikkie” Murdoch in the school’s performance of Grease (1978) and enjoyed culinary arts. His most proud moment was being captain of the Glassboro High School Boys Basketball team, which won the division 1 state championship in 1994 under his leadership. Tamyron graduated from Rutgers University with the BA in Early Childhood Education and proudly served 13 years in the US military.
Tamyron worked for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee for 17 years as a program coordinator for School Age Services and more recently as Director of the YCAP of Williamson County.  As director, Tamyron took a fledgling youth program, which boast of catering to at risk youth, to become a highly successful model of youth care and empowerment center throughout the region. Voluntarism was a key motive behind Tamyron’s educational goals for the many young people who came through the center.  Under Tamyron’s leadership, students volunteered at the Davidson County Animal Shelter, served meals the Nashville Rescue Mission, conducted food and toy drives for distribution to families in need during the holiday season, and planted a community vegetable garden.  However, Tamyron smiles most when talking of exposing his students to the culinary world, going to culinary schools, cooking with distinguished chefs, and eating at elegant restaurants where they were introduced to the fine art of dining etiquettes.
As 2015 began, Tamyron was ready for a new life venture. Over the years, he had been a professional bartender and worked and planned many social events with great success and notoriety. Now forward looking, he was ready to lead and not follow. In late August, Tamyron established Shabar’s Event Planning and Bartending Service. Three words characterize Shabar’s and it owner: elegant (tastefully refined and dignified), classy (always appropriately suited to the customer’s event need, whether small or large), and professional. (unsurpassed in professional customer service).
